CERTIANTIES, PRIVILEGES AND RIGHTS IN CHRIST
Certainties were the things that most believed amongst the apostles. These were things of the spirit or deep things of God taught by the Lord Jesus himself.
Luke 1:1-4
For example they believed in Life. They believe so much in the resurrection that the scriptures say that with great power and grace, the apostles bore witness of the resurrection life and great grace were upon them all. They so believed in the divine life. It was common to see the shadow of men like peter give life, it was common to see men like Philip going to Samaria to preach Christ.
To the point the word was known to be the WORD of Life (Philippians 2:16).
Jesus said search the scriptures, they are those that speaks of me
I am the way the truth and the life
I came that they may have life and have it more abundantly
The things that Jesus taught the apostle became the things that were most believed among them.
Time to go back to the teaching of Jesus, our chief apostle to learn afresh the things that’ll form the basis of the things we believe
IN CHRIST WE HAVE BEEN MADE BENEFICIARIES as coheirs with Him.
The umbrella of Beneficiary is what I have subdivided into 3.
CERTAINTIES, PRIVILEDGES AND RIGHTS
PRIVILEDGES: These are benefit that we enjoy by our association with Christ. Romans We have access by faith. Privilege is that which is granted on the merit of the one who is granting it. That means that God didn’t have to do it but he did anyways, Jesus didn’t have to do but he did anyways. So in Christ Jesus, all things we have access to are by reason of his merit.
RIGHT OR LIBERTIES: Galatians 5:1, 13, Luke 4:18 When Christ set you free, you were brought into a new place and were given right as a citizen of heaven.
CERTAINTIES: These are things that were most believed amongst the apostle and the early church.
When you hear statement most assured I say unto you
That we may receive the guarantee of the spirit. The spirit has guarantees.
That means when you come to him, he guarantees you death first before life can spring forth.
- THE WAY OF DEATH – Except a corn of seed falls to the ground it abides alone. We have to learn the way of Death. The way of death, is the way of Life. This is a path to the spirit. There is a way to the Life, it is the way of Death. When Jesus said I am the way the truth and life. What he say to you that first of all you must die first. John 12:24
All that is in the world is lust of the eye, the pride of life and lust of the flesh.
DEATH TO SELF(Galatians 2:20), DEATH TO THE WORLD (Galatians 2:19), DEATH TO SIN (Romans 6:11)
The way of death is always a painful process that is why most people don’t like it. It is the least enjoyable part of our walk with God.
You may be watching something and the spirit says go an pray or do xyz. The struggle you put up before.
- THE WAY OF DECREES & DECLARATIONS – I say unto you if say unto this. Mark 11:23 & Matthew 21:21
If you are going to experience the God life or the good life, you are going to have to say it. You are going to have to decree and declare it.
Matthew 12:37 – By thy words you shall be acquitted and by thy words you shall be condemned.
This is the way that father designed to life to be release. These are the way of the sons. These are the way of the sons.
- THE WAY OF GROANING – This is the way of the Spirit. This is the deeper place of the Spirit. Only a few know this.
Through groaning we can visit the high places and ascend the hills of the Spirit.

THE WAY OF THE NEW BIRTH
This is an experience that can be relived and came with a knowing that must not be forgotten experientially. Jesus said remember and do the former things. Those former things are the ways of the spirit. The way of the spirit is the birth.
PRIVILEDGES: Philippians 3:20, 2 Peter 1:4
In Christ Jesus everything we have access to is on the basis his merit and not that which we have done. Even our rights in Him is as a result of what he did to give us rights. Everything we have in Christ is not because of what we have done. Out first Privilege are that which we enjoy by reason of our association with Him.
- SALVATION: Titus 3:5 – Did you know that salvation is a privilege.
The bible say blessed are the people who know the Joyful sound, who walk O Lord, in the light of Your Presence. Who are those people, the people who have been saved. Whose God is the God of Israel, Isaac and Jacob; the God of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ
Titus 3:5 – Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
- SONSHIP: 1 John 3:1
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Sonship was bestowed upon us by reason of his love and not because of something we did. That Love had enough power to qualify us and bring us into the realm of sonship.
John 1:12 – But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Sons means tecknon, one that is born or begotten.
- ADOPTION: Galatians 4:4-7
We have the privilege of the adopted son (uihos)
But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. 6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.
This adoption qualifies us to call God Abba. Abba is a rendering that denotes the fatherhood of God. The Jews understood very well what abba was and this is why they wanted to stone Jesus when he said God was his father. If God was his father, that that places him on the pedestal as God. John 10:20-40
When we understand our Adoption, then and only then can we function as sons.
- BROTHERHOOD – BROTHERHOOD WITH CHRIST – Hebrews 2:11
Both Jesus who sanctifies and those who are sanctified [that is, spiritually transformed, made holy, and set apart for God’s purpose] are all from one Father; for this reason He is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,
It was a shameful thing for a man or a king to be stripped naked and walked or paraded on the street to be mocked and geared at, spitting on Him, lay aside all his glory and become one of us, die a shameful death, be numbered amongst ordinary men and be called the son of man who was one the glory of God, the one the lights heaven but glory to God he’s not ashamed to call you brethren.
But you may say Pastor Isaac is this not blasphemous, isn’t Jesus our Lord, Master and Saviour. Yes he’s all of that but as the scriptures has revealed, we have been brought into the Liberty of the Son of God.
- THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL – Acts 22:12-17
There a man named Ananias, a devout observer of the law who was highly regarded by all the Jews living there, 13came and stood beside me. ‘Brother Saul,’ he said, ‘receive your sight.’ And at that moment I could see him. 14Then he said, ‘The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will, and to see the Righteous One, and to hear His voice.
12 “And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, well-spoken of by all the Jews who lived there, 13 came to me, and standing by me said to me, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight.’ And at that very hour I received my sight and saw him. 14 And he said, ‘The God of our fathers appointed you to know his will, to see the Righteous One and to hear a voice from his mouth; 15 for you will be a witness for him to everyone of what you have seen and heard. 16 And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’
- THE REVELATION OF MYSTERIES – Luke 8:10
And he said, unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
Without a parable did he not speak to them, What is a parable? A parable is a type spiritual communication. It is a communication of Spirit. Dream is a kind of Parable. A visions can be a type of parable
RIGHTS IN CHRIST
- Right to Choose ( Philippians 1:23, Joshua 24:15)
- Right to Live ( 2 Timothy 2:11 – If we died with him, we shall also live with him ). If you choose not to die, refuse to die. Paul said I live yet nmot I. The man has embraced life as his identity.
- Right to Reign (Romans 5:17)
it is given unto you to understand the mysteries of the Kingdom but to those who are without, it is not given
We have been granted the privilege of knowing the things of the Kingdom
PRAYER BURDEN: This prayer always has speed with it.
Lord avenge me – There some you have suffered at the hand of the enemy, your betrayers, your enemies who you thought were friends, your managers and bosses, co-workers, colleagues possessed of the devil and systems that has been set to frustrate your life and bring you pain and hardship and have promised to make life difficult for you.
Family and household witchcraft – Lord avenge me
Luke 18:5-8 – God wants to avenge some people speedily this morning
By constantly coming she wearies me. You’ve been crying Lord, avenge me

Samsom prayed and said Lord avenge me of these philistine
You want the Lord to avenge you from a particular situation that you feel not going. When we begin to pray, the Lord will move into action and avenge you
You are dealing with a particular issue and a case where you want the Lord to avenge you
