I was diligent to write to you about our common salvation – Jude 1

OUR COMMON SALVATION: KIONO SOTERIA – Jude 1:1-4

AS PART OF THIS WE WANT TO LOOK AT JESUS. WHO IS JESUS, WHY DID HE COME AND OUR COMMON SALVATION

SOTERIA: Deliverance, Preservation, Safety, Salvation, Rescue, safety

WHO IS JESUS

  1. He is the saviour of the World – 1 Timothy 1:12
  2. He is God – 1 Timothy 3:16
  3. He is the body of God, God in the Flesh ( In him the fullness dwells bodily) – Colossian 2:9
  4. He is the express image of the Father – Hebrews 1:3
  5. He’s the head of the Body and the First born from the dead – Colossians 1:18
  6. He’s Lord of all, he’s been given all authority in heaven and on earth – Acts 10:36

WHY DID JESUS COME

If we want to list all time will not permit because there are several reasons why he came but we want to narrow down and find out.

Some would say

  1. He came that we may have life – John 1: 1-4, John 10:10
  2. To Seek and Save that which was lost – Luke 19:10
  3. That he may destroy the works of the devil – 1 John 3:8
  4. He came to save sinner – 1 Timothy 1:15

He sent not his son into the World to condemn the world but that the World

THE REASON HE CAME: EXAMINING SALVATION IN THE LIGHT OF THE SCRIPTURES

WHAT IS SALVATION OR WHAT ARE THE COMPONENT OF OUR SALVATION – LEVELS OF SALVATION

  1. Salvation of the Spirit – 1 Thessalonians 5:23
  2. Salvation of the Soul – James 1:21
  3. Salvation of the Body – Hebrews 7:25
  4. Salvation of everything in your domain – Luke 19:10 – That which is Lost  ( for example 1 Samuel 9:3 Saul father donkey went missing, Elijah made the axe head to float, we can call things from the realm of the spirit, for example Ephesians say stand in the evil day, satan plan evil day, day you notice witchcraft activities)

THE 3 DIMENSIONAL EFFECT OF SALVATION: for example the resultant effect of righteousness shall be peace Isaiah 32:17

THE THREE DIMENSIONAL EFFECT OF SALVATION RESULTANT EFFECT OF OUR SALVATION

  1. THE FATHERHOOD OF GOD – The Salvation of the spirit brought us to the Fatherhood of God. We only came to know God as a father when we.

This is only dependent on receiving Jesus as your lord and saviour – Revelation 1:5

**Jesus had to be born again

  •  THE WILL OF GOD – The Salvation of the Soul bring us to the Discovery of the Will of God –

The soul is where the mind is (consist of your Mind, Will, Intellect and Emotion) – Romans 12:3,

Through the renewing of our mind which is part of our soul we will discover the will of God for our Lives. So it is possible for one to be born and only know God as a father but not know the Will of God for his life because he’s not subject his soul to the renewal process of letting the word of God rededicate him so he will be ignorant of the will of God

  •  THE FEAR OF GOD – The Salvation of the Body brings us to the Fear of God – Matthew 10: 28

PRAYER: Lord instil in me the fear of God, Help me to know your will and cause me to walk in your ways

Psalm 139:11

Lord turn my night into Light and grant me illumination and revelation
